I grew up with these two. We learned how to do so many things together. Think about how much you discover as a child between the ages of four and fourteen. Man, that's a lot of stuff squeezed into those brains of ours. But, we did it together, along with our other classmates, of course.
After eighth grade we all went our separate ways. Different high schools, different colleges...well, at least I did. These two (after crushing on and off since first grade...YES. FIRST GRADE), have stuck with each other since our childhood years. Yes, we all know it's incredibly adorable. I'll be the first to tell you, that it was I who first pushed them towards each other. I won't tell you much, but I will say that Kings Dominion and a Carolina themed basketball took on major roles in the story. Well, Danielle and Lee, you're welcome.
Last New Year's, these two were married in front of their family and friends, myself included. It was such a sweet ceremony that brought together two beautiful souls. What better way to celebrate them after a year of marriage, than with moments captured in their home. It's simple, but it's sweet.
These are the best parts of life.
"Danielle was my first best friend"
Danielle was my first best friend. We were four and both the new kids at school. We had a lot of "firsts" together: first play dates, first crushes (hers became permanent), first girl drama, first school assignments, first American Girl Dolls, first singing competitions (on the playground), first sleepovers, first time playing M.A.S.H., first field trip to the White House, first time shaving our legs....
I am so thankful and blessed that when I started my education, I started a friendship; one that would last for two decades.
Danielle now teaches in the classroom next-door to where we met. As if life couldn't get any sweeter.
As a wee little one, this is how Danielle thought of us. I approve, 'cause, I mean, we're adorable.
PHOTO BY ABBY GRACE PHOTOGRAPHY -- With the happy couple on their wedding day - a few others from our younger years were also there. We clean up quite nicely.
Thank God for dirty dishes;
they have MANy tales to tell.
You make me smile like the sun, fall out of bed, sing like a bird, dizzy in my head, spin like a record
You make me dance like a fool, forget how to breathe, shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you drives me wild
Oh, You make me smile
